The Lodge at Riverside

EV friendly: we charged on the property. A night off the road without the camper, reviewed the way we review a campground.

Can you charge an EV here? Yes

There is EV charging on the property and we used it: we plugged the truck in on arrival and left with the range for the next leg. The lodge has two EV charging stations on site and the charging is free for guests. We charged our 2026 GMC Sierra EV Denali Max Range overnight, then topped it up again over breakfast before a 600-mile day. Two stalls is not many for a full house, so plug in when you arrive rather than after dinner.

Notes

Right on the Rogue at the 7th Street bridge, with historic downtown a few minutes on foot. Two EV charging stations on site, free for guests, so the truck charges while you sleep and again over breakfast. Pool, breakfast in the rate, wine and fresh cookies in the lobby in the evening. The room has a bathtub, coffee, a fridge, robes, a table and a recliner, but no microwave. A restaurant is next door, so the truck can stay plugged in while you eat.

Our take

Friendly staff and a great location, right downtown in Grants Pass on the Rogue River. Good for taking a walk, and there is a restaurant next door. It is so nice to be able to charge our new-to-us 2026 GMC Sierra EV Denali Max Range for free while we rest. While it charges we can go to the lobby, have some wine, and they bake fresh cookies. In the morning there is a complimentary breakfast and a walk downtown while the truck tops up before a 600-mile day. The room is cozy: a bathtub, coffee, a fridge, robes to relax in, a table and a recliner. The only thing missing is a microwave; it would be nice to heat up our food. I would recommend this place.

Heads upNo microwave in the room. If you travel with your own food, plan on the restaurant next door or eat it cold.
